You don’t have to surf to volunteer

Volunteers are what allow Surfrider Spirit Sessions to provide its unique culturally and environmentally aligned programs to help at-risk youth in our communities. Without the dedication and commitment of community volunteers, our programs couldn’t exist!

When you become a volunteer for Surfrider Spirit Sessions you become part of our ohana. You don’t have to be a surfer. Many talented professionals and compassionate individuals have contributed their time and talents to help our kids.

Volunteer opportunities

Surfrider Spirit Sessions needs volunteers (other than mentoring) in ways on and off the beach.  We are always looking for talented and passionate people who can help us in with:

  • Surf to the Turf Golf Tournament

  • Guest speaking

  • Running a Surfari

  • Photography and videography at the beach and at events or for special projects

  • Event coordinators and workers

  • Fundraising

  • Writers for grants, websites, and special projects

  • Administrative support

  • Guest speakers, presenters, or special projects/excursions for youth

  • Leadership on our Board of Directors

  • Connection to new partners, supporters, collaborators, and donors
